While you may be still in the winter mode awiating the first serious snow fall in Budapest, at Art School in Budapest we are already in springtime mood! The new (spring) term is starting on January 24th offering 4 diferent 16 + 1 week courses in contemporary art, ceativity development and drawing and painting and a 8 week Studio Drawing and Painting course (from Jan.7) . But just before the new term gets into a full swing, you are invited to come to Open Days at ASiB, try out a selection of free lessons and see which courses suit your interests and needs the best. To apply to any of the open days lessons and events, please email your name, phone number and the type and date of the lesson you would like to attend to artschoolbudapest@gmail.com. Number of participants for each free lesson will be limited to a maximum of 6 and maximum 15 for the film screening. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
OPEN DAYS SCHEDULE:
· Wednesday, January 18th
·10 –12.00h - Studio Drawing and Painting intro lesson (a course which will give you more skills and knowledge about traditional art)
· Thursdays, January 19th
·14.30 –16.30h - FLOW intro lesson
·17.30 – 19.30h - FLOW intro lessons
(The aim of the FLOW course is to help you re-create the joy of self expression and help you liberate yourself from the eventual obstacles which do not allow your creativity to flow)
·14.30 –16.30h - Studio Drawing and Painting intro lesson (a course which will give you more skills and knowledge about traditional art)
·17.30 – 19.30h – ARS MODO and Weekly Contemporary intro lesson (A theoretica and/or practical introduction to understanding and making contemporary art)
· Saturday, January 21st
· 14.00 – 17.00h - NVC practice group (the first meeting of the Nonviolent Communication practice group,(advanced NVC level, in Hungarian)
· 17.30 – 19.30 FLOW intro lessons (The aim of this course is to help you re-create the joy of self expression and help you liberate yourself from the eventual obstacles which do not allow your creativity to flow)
· Sunday, January 22nd
· 16.30 – 18.30h - ARS MODO and Weekly Contemporary intro lesson (A theoretica and/or practical introduction to understanding and making contemporary art)
· 19h Move time: “Basquiat”- a biopic-drama film about painter Jean-Michel Basquiat directed by fellow painter Julian Schnabel in 1996. Please bring some snacks to share and warm slippers/shoes as you will be asked to take off your shoes (102 min., English with Hungarian subtitlings, admission free, maximum 15 people)
